On July 20, the team from LiVante Developments returned once again to Thornhill Golf and Country Club, joining golfers from a broad assortment of GTA-based businesses and organizations to play a third round of charity golf in support of Adventure Place.

With the help of a live auction, raffle prizes, and generous donations from sponsors – as well as bonus activities like the Putting Contest and Hole-In-One Challenge – LiVante Developments’ 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised a grand total of $20,000 for Adventure Place – a close neighbour of LiVante’s upcoming low-rise community near McNicoll Avenue and Don Mills Road.

A registered charitable organization, Adventure Place serves the community as a child and family centre providing prevention, early intervention, and treatment services to children and their families, with a focus on those coping with autism-spectrum disorders.

“This is the third year of our partnership with the team from Adventure Place – who represent not just a neighbour of one of our developments, but a key organization working to improve the community around it,” said General Counsel Benjamin Wong of LiVante Developments.“

Personally delivered by LiVante co-owners Elio Valente and Stephen Wong, the cheque was received by a team from Adventure Place that included Cheryl Webb, the centre’s Executive Director.

“Once again, LiVante Developments has shown their commitment to leaving neighbourhoods better than they found them,” Webb told the crowd during the evening’s ceremonies.

The golf tournament itself was, of course, the biggest highlight of the day – with more than 30 foursomes heading out to enjoy the 18 holes of Thornhill Golf Club’s historic course. At the end of the day, participants were awarded recognition for achievements such as Best Score, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin.

LiVante Developments’ first annual golf tournament was held in September 2013 and raised a total of $25,000, which Adventure Place used to build a much needed playground for the centre’s children and their families to enjoy together.

Since then, the tournament has grown into an annual favourite event for many of the organizations we work with on a regular basis – as well as the team from Adventure Place, who routinely join LiVante not only on the course, but behind the scenes to ensure that the day runs smoothly.
